Cash Gifting: Research Your Mentor

Tuesday, November 22, 2011
The mentor is the ambassador of a gifting community. They offer an invitation to an exclusive club. A mentor provides the vital first steps so that you may become acclimated to the program. They are your lifeline to a community.

I will always be grateful to my mentor, Ryan Biddulph who had introduced me into this community.  His word of advice to all who are interested in joining a giving community is that a mentor should be both knowledgeable and trustworthy.

From his vast experience in cash gifting, he advises calling the prospective mentor and asking at least 10 questions. Why are they taking part in this practice? What marketing strategies have worked for them? It's extremely important to get a feel for the mentor's motives because they are your "live teacher" should you have any questions which aren't covered in the online tutorials. Are they a slick marketer who is only self-promoting or do they embody the true spirit of gifting, which is giving? Ensure that they have your best interests at heart. Read up on the mentor's knowledge of cash gifting. Do they understand the practice and are they explaining it effectively?

You are welcomed to research my blog or scan my captured pages for articles demonstrating my interests. Feel free to read my biography and get a feel of my overall outlook in life and my other interests. You can learn more about me from my blog and my social networks.

Since you are already reading this it can only mean that we are connecting for a very good reason.

a mentor makes a huge lot of difference and even the mentor's personality or charisma makes a difference. lucky you to have found a good one.

I used to be too independent. I didn't like accepting anything from anyone. I didn't even want birthday presents. I could help people, sure, but I didn't want them doing anything for me.

Now I'm ready to help others by allowing them to give to me and improving their chances of getting back.

You're right Evelyn. A mentor does make a huge difference and equally important is the willingness to listen and learn too.

Everyone changes from time to time as they deem right. That's a change for the affirmative Rick and it is a good thing.

We're very fortunate to have Ryan as our mentor, aren't we? :)
